OA Queensland Intergroup

WSO has published an announcement regarding Covid-19 that can be viewed at: https://oa.org/app/uploads/2020/03/OA-COVID-19-Letter-2.pdf

Our traditions are very clear, and WSO does not have the authority to require face to face meetings to close for the duration. We have but one authority – tradition 2, and each group must be allowed the autonomy to make this decision.

We are in no way minimizing the concern over the current situation, neither are we adding to the panic. We encourage our members and our groups to make the best decisions for themselves – guided by “a loving God as He may express Himself in our group conscience” as stated in tradition 2.

Queensland Intergroup – serving and representing Queensland OA groups

The purpose of the Queensland Intergroup is to carry the message of recovery to those with the problem of eating compulsively, by fostering the practice of the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Overeaters Anonymous, guided by the Twelve Concepts of OA Service; and to serve and represent Queensland member groups.
